Home - Journeys - Thailand 2023, November, December - Staying at Park Villa Chaiyaphume, 299 Nong Na Saeng, Mueang Chaiyaphum, Chaiyaphum.

Park Villa Chaiyaphume is located in a street in a village a few kilometers outside the city
of Chaiyaphum.
We chose this hotel because we couldn't find non-smoking rooms in Chaiyaphum.
When we arrive we see a few parking spaces in front of the hotel, and a number of washing
machines built into the wall.
We try to go inside somewhere, but what we see is a room with lockers and a text on the wall
from which we conclude that we have received a code with which we can open one of the
lockers, a kind of OnYourOwn hotel.
There is also a large gate that is closed.
Fortunately, there is also a telephone number somewhere that we call, and someone
immediately arrives with the remote control for the gate.
We get the keys to a room, a suite, and some explanation about the gate and breakfast.
We can park the car inside the gate, where there are five parking spaces.
The room, on the second floor, turns out to indeed be a suite, simply but adequately
furnished.
The room seems clean and fresh, mainly light colors have been used, and there are tiles on
the floor that you will not slip on.
The room has a mini fridge with water, a microwave, a well-functioning silent air
conditioner, a table with two chairs, a sofa (we think it's a sofa bed) and a TV.
And there is a walk-in closet.
Only YouTube and ?? can be used on the TV, after some searching you can watch Thai channels
this way.
The bedroom is simply furnished, has a good double bed and air conditioning.
The bathroom has a Western toilet with sprayer, a sink with enough storage space and a
shower with electric heater and sufficient water.
There are four towels and dispensers for soap and shampoo.
The room also has a small balcony and here is a sink and a table with plates and cutlery in
a lockable box.
On the ground floor there is a kitchen where we can make coffee in the morning and eat some
(soggy Thai) bread.
Despite the professional-looking espresso machine, the coffee turns out not to be very tasty, and we don't feel like eating soggy Thai bread.
Furthermore, there are five parking spaces and a nice garden.
The hotel has three suites, all on the 2nd floor, and two larger bungalows.
What strikes us is that there are enough sockets, but they are in awkward places, as if
they were designed with a different layout of the room.
We were here
on Monday, December 11, 2023,
on Tuesday, December 12, 2023
and on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
We paid THB 760 (approximately 21 Euro) per night for the room, we booked in advance via
Booking.com.
This is quite a pleasant hotel to stay in if you look at the facilities, but the location is
disappointing for us.
You cannot stay here without a car, there are no restaurants within walking distance and we
have not been able to find anything in the area.
We ate at Robinson Lifestyle Chiayapum and Big C Chaiyaphum, located a fifteen minute drive
away, and we also took food for breakfast there.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
